WELCOME TO SAMADHAN
Samadhan focuses on ensuring greater Accountability and Transparency of Government and greater participation of people and gender in decision making as a means of redressing inclusive social justice and positive sustainable social engineering to promote and upkeep Human Rights & Gender Rights of People.
Samadhan places particular emphasis on the Democratic Principles of Accountability and Peoples inclusive Participation and has developed a strong focus on People’s Access to Justice and Access to Information (RTI) to upkeep & nourish the values of inclusive Democracy.
Samadhan´s efforts are focused on Systematic Reforms and Human Rights & Gender Rights Education while also acting as a positive catalyst for positive sensitization & Action.
In-Country activities are complemented by a broad spectrum of Human Rights Advocacy Program that researches and highlights Human Rights violations and makes recommendations to Government & Policy Makers.
PRINCIPAL PROGRAM AREAS ACCESS TO JUSTICE :
It is the prime responsibility of the State to ensure its citizens' access to social Justice and the criminal Justice System must work if the State is not to be completely undermined. Samadhan´s access to gender Justice Program particularly focuses on:
- Police Reforms and Prison Reforms
- Panchayat Raj Empowerment & Community Capacity Building
- Legal Literacy & Awareness and Judicial Activism
- Right to Information (RTI) & Electoral Reforms
Advocacy and Networking :
In the past 28 years Samadhan has achieved greater access and built up a large network of Human Rights pro-activists, Civil Society Actors, Committed Individuals and Voluntary Organizations committed to Global Peace and Inclusive Democracy with Sustainable Development of Rural India with global gender perspective.
